Fender Highway One Precision Bass Clean! Upgrades! Rare Honey Blonde P USA American 42787
Description (see more pics below)
For sale is a Fender Highway One Precision Bass in beautiful Honey Blonde finish, born in Dec. 2006, with a 60th Anniversary badge on headstock. The white guard on blonde is a stunner. Weight = 8lbs, 14oz.
Condition: Cosmetics are excellent. Near perfect, couple tiny marks (see pics). You know these have seen little action when the finish is still matte and hasn't gone shiny from repeated rubbing. 20-years-vintage in stunning condition. Upgrades include a BadAss II bridge and vintage style reverse-wind tuners.
Body: Alder body with rear body contour. Honey Blonde thin nitrocellulose finish lets the tone out and will age into a cool natural relic. Top-load bridge and 4-bolt neck.
Neck: Satin back, one piece, modern C-shaped maple neck with 9.5-inch radius and rich, dark rosewood fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. Frets are excellent condition with plenty of life. Look at the creamy wood grain in the neck pic, nice lumber.
Pickups/Electronics: A split coil humbucker with classic P-Bass tones and Greasebucket tone circuit (rolls off highs without adding bass). Volume and Tone controls with Tele bass-style knobs.
Playability: This vintage Hwy 1 bass is easy to handle at sub-9 pounds. Back of neck is smooth and unmarked for smooth playing. Vintage looks and tone. Beauty of a dark rosewood board. She’s all stock and ready to rock. Cherry on top is my detailed setup and bulletproof packing. Thanks!
Note: there is an optional Road Runner aftermarket hard case available. The length of the case doubles my shipping cost, so I'll include case for an extra $50. It's a $159 ABS molded case in good condition.
Recent Review:
"Guitar was packed perfectly for shipping. Everything arrived exactly as described. A lot of care and attention was put into the setup (intonation is perfect). Seller was nice enough to include some extras. Excellent seller! Thank you so much!"
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. You can also read my packing blog post on my StillKickinMusic website. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
