Gibson Les Paul '50s Tribute Humbucker Goldtop - Just Rolled Frets! 69797
Description (More pics below)
This is a 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50s Tribute in a satin goldtop finish. Nice condition light LP that won’t break your back (8lbs, 4oz). Comes with Gibson bag, papers, factory "baby picture," and straplocks.
Condition
Cosmetically this guitar is super clean with only a couple tiny marks (see pics). The guitar is stock with no mods. Please note the close-up pics of fret ends, as I just rolled the treble-side fret ends so they are smooth and buttery. Many Tribute's tend to have of sharp fret ends (saves you about $150 if you need to get it done!).
Features
— Mahogany body with maple cap
— Mahogany neck, rosewood board, rounded 50s neck profile
— 490R and 498T humbuckers & Tune-o-matic bridge
Sound & Playability
The Tribute line gives you a lightweight Les Paul with a thin finish that 1) Let’s your tone come through and 2) wears quickly for a nice relic look. Mahogany woods provide the usual Les Paul sustain and the 490 humbuckers spit some nice tone. Some other nice details--green tulip Kluson tuners, large neck inlays, and aged plastics and gold knobs. NO case. Cherry on top is my detailed setup and bulletproof packing. Thanks!
Short video showing how I pack a guitar.
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

50's Build
During the 50's the Les Paul was a real big and heavy guitar. There was no such thing as weight relief back then and people liked big and chunky necks that you could really dig in to without causing any kind of damage.
This guitar takes the same size and shape of the 50's Les Pauls but updates it with some modern weight relief in the Mahogany body that is topped with a beautiful piece of maple. This means that you can play for longer without the back and neck strain that so many players associate with the Les Paul at longer gigs.
Hot Pickups
One of the biggest tricks this guitar has up its sleeves is the pickups that are installed. The 50's tribute features a pair of the rather hot but vintage inspired 490R and 498T pickups that are incredibly popular for a wide range of styles.
Vintage Hardware
With a very traditional stopbar tailpiece that has been used for nearly the entire life of the Les Paul and some classic green key style tuners not only does it look superb but it has the stability and feel of a premium guitar that has been around for a long time.
About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!
