Gibson Nighthawk Special SP-3 1996 - Great Cond! Vintage Sunburst 56560
Description
Up for sale is a Gibson Nighthawk SP-3 in beautiful vintage sunburst . Set neck construction and a plethora of sound options combine for a one-of-a-kind Gibson instrument. Weight = 7lbs, 2oz.
Condition
This guitar has been very well treated in its 30 years of life. You will see in pics there are some marks near the jack. Other than that nothing but mild playing scuffs. Frets in very good condition with no grooving, only mild wear. All electronics work and sound great. Gold hardware is in pretty good shape, which is rare.
Playability
This Nighthawk is light a nicely balanced, and the rear body cut just adds to the comfortable playing experience. Plays great all over the neck. You can get a lot of different sounds via the three very different sounding pickups and 5-way switch, plus the pull-out Tone knob adds another five tone options. I have just gone through and completely detailed this guitar. NO case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. International contact for quote. Thanks!
Recent Review:
"Guitar was packed perfectly for shipping. Everything arrived exactly as described. A lot of care and attention was put into the setup (intonation is perfect). Seller was nice enough to include some extras. Excellent seller! Thank you so much!"
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!
Packing
Search "How to Pack a Guitar + Hot Girls" on YouTube for a video showing how I pack. I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. You can also read my packing blog post on my StillKickinMusic website. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
