Fender 2010 American Special Precision P-Bass 8.5 Lbs! Red Metallic Gotoh 42559
Description
This is a 2010 Fender American Special Precision Bass in metallic Candy Apple Red finish. It's a great looking and playing bass and has an upgraded Gotoh high-mass bridge. All maple 9.5" modern radius C-shaped neck with medium-jumbo frets. Standard P-bass pickups for a classic sound and a Greasebucket tone circuit so you can roll off highs without getting an overly boomy sound.
Cosmetically the bass looks really great. It's been played so there are scuffs on the back and pickguard and some other marks I've shown in pictures. Rare red finish with the black pickguard looks awesome. Frets are in good shape with only mild wear. Weight is a very comfortable 8 pounds, 8 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
Manufacturer Info
Here's a new take on a classic bass. Fender's American Special Precision Bass kicks off a new decade of Fender basses with the latest in U.S.-made quality and value. An ultra-fast and comfortable Slim C-shape maple neck and lightweight alder body make the American Special Precision Bass one of the most playable basses out there. A traditional split single-coil P Bass pickup puts out plenty of tone, and Fender's amazing Greasebucket tone circuit lets you ease off the highs and still get punchy and powerful lows. Top it all off with Fender's high-gloss finish, and the American Special Precision Bass looks just as good as it sounds.
