FENDER 2008 1st Year! ROAD WORN 50s TELECASTER Best Sunburst Relic Tele 51151
This is a 2008 Fender Road Worn Telecaster in Sunburst finish in killer condition. This was made the first year of the Road Worn series. Believe it or not that's very important. The Fender shop started to water down their relic work shortly after this. If you're looking at Road Worns and you want a good relic guitar, stick with 2008-2010. That was when Fender was spending time on these and being innovative. If you look at recent 2019 Road Worns or even newer Vinteras, they are cookie cutter with very little actual wear.
Look at all the bumps, dings, edge wear, etc this baby has. All hardware has a dull glow and patina of wear. Fretboard has cool worn finish. Back of neck worn satin smooth. Just awesome! Even though cosmetically it's worn all over, the neck, frets and electronics are in great shape. If you like your guitars to feel and play like a well-worn old pair of blue jeans this might be right for you. This Tele has also been upgraded with a Joe Barden nickel bridge with brass compensated saddles. This is huge because compensated saddles let you dial in your intonation more accurately than the standard Tele barrel saddles. Weight is 7 pounds, 6 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks!

Those who prize older instruments with the battered look of years on the road and the scars of countless gigs can still have that authentically aged vibe without spending decades on the road themselves. The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts are yours right away with Road Worn instruments. The Road Worn '50s Telecaster sounds, looks and feels like it's been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some.
With authentic 1950s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, it's a must-have for the guitar player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe. Available now in this Limited Edition Road Worn Purple Metallic Finish.
