Fender 2008 Eric Johnson Stratocaster Lucerne Aqua Firemist + Case & Candy 04654
Description (more pics below)
This is a 2008 Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster in Lucerne Aqua Firemist finish with rosewood fretboard. The guitar is all stock except for the pickguard, which was changed to pearloid (no new holes drilled). Comes with original gold plush case and all original case candy, including:
— Sealed manual, trem bar, bridge cover and extra springs.
— All hangtags and control description sheet.
— Fender coiled cable, strap, and case keys.
Cosmetically, it looks very clean but has been played, mostly small edge marks and mild scuffing, as well as flaking of neck binding and fret wear. See all pics where I’ve tried to show most marks, but just know it’s a played but well-cared-for instrument. The case is in excellent shape. It has some mild smoke smell but I’m currently airing it and with sunlight that should go away. (If you're sensitive to smoke, I'll sell for $100 less without the case.) Weight is 7 pounds, 12 ounces. If you have any questions, ask BEFORE buying. Buyer's responsibility to do their due diligence. Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing. Thanks!
(PS: Though it currently has an 11-screw pickguard, no new holes were drilled. Some of the screw heads are “false”—see pic showing only 8 holes in body. You can get a new 8-hole white parchment guard from Stratosphere on eBay for $15 if desired.)
What You Get

-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
Manufacturer Info
After years of painstaking research and design, the Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster Electric Guitar has finally arrived. Designed with Eric by Custom Shop guru Michael Frank-Braun, this beauty is based on a '57, and combines the best of vintage design with modern electronics technology.
The '57-style, 2-piece alder body has an ultrathin, Custom Shop-quality nitrocellulose lacquer finish that results in better resonance. Johnson opted for a one-piece, quartersawn maple neck with a 12" radius that's finished with a thin-skinned glossy lacquer and vintage tint. 19 prototype pickups were created before Johnson found the tone he was looking for. The Custom Shop-modified single coils use a new wire material and winding technique for the magnets giving them a unique, Eric Johnson-approved sound. Johnson and Braun also included one of Eric's most famous Strat modifications by wiring the tone controls to the neck and bridge pickups, instead of the standard neck/middle tone configuration of most Strats.
This guitar offers tonal perfection thanks to the discerning ear of one of the best players to ever pick up an axe. And it's pleasing to the eye as well, with its large arm contour, '57-style pickguard and shallow pickup cavities, plus thin headstock with vintage staggered tuners that eliminate the need for a string tree. Unbelievable Custom Shop-like quality in a production axe. Includes case.
