Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

Its eye-grabbing gloss black finish, gold hardware, and other elegant appointments ensure that this guitar will blend in at any formal occasion. Don’t worry though — under the hood it’s still a Telecaster, thanks to a set of vintage-style single-coil pickups. Beyond that, a thick “U”-shaped neck and 7.25" radius supply a comfortable vintage feel, while a classic 3-saddle string-through bridge gives you sustain for days. One thing’s for sure: this limited-edition Made in Japan Traditional '60s Midnight Telecaster might look like it’s all business, but it definitely knows how to party.
The traditional Tele’s classy, uptown cousin
If a traditional Telecaster was born for roadhouse bars, the Midnight Tele is its swanky, uptown cousin. Decked out in an eye-catching gloss black finish, this guitar is a real looker. It’s hard to take your eyes off of it, thanks to elegant details like gold hardware, a black-on-black pickguard, and white binding on its top and back. And its matching headstock is a nice touch. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have been swooning over this limited-edition gem ever since it arrived!
Unmistakable Tele clarity, twang, and muscle
The Fender Made in Japan Traditional '60s Midnight Telecaster is ready to bust out with some unruly Tele twang, thanks to its Japanese-made vintage-style single-coil pickups. Experience sweet-sounding mids, along with tight bass that never gets overbearing. Unleash unmistakable Tele spank by the truckload. These pickups produce the perfect balance of clarity, twang, and muscle. If you’re searching for the authentic sound of the first Telecasters that rolled off the line, you’ll appreciate this MIJ Traditional ‘60s Telecaster.
Fat “U”-shape neck is perfect for fans of larger vintage necks
The Midnight Telecaster boasts one of the fattest necks you'll find on a Tele, vintage or modern. The thick “U”-shaped neck will appeal to players that prefer larger '50s-style necks. Many players claim that a thicker neck enhances sustain and gives you a darker, fuller tone than thinner necks provide — plug into your favorite amplifier with the Midnight Tele and you be the judge!
