This is a great little bass, the 2019 Fender Mustang PJ bass in Firemist Gold finish. Small light body won’t weigh you down. Features:
— Alder body, maple neck, Pau Ferro board
— 30” short-scale neck w/ 9.5” radius
— Both P- and J-style iconic pickups
Cool mod done by previous owner: got rid of 3-way pickup switch. Stacked knob has volume for each pickup, meaning you can dial in exact amount you want from each. Second knob is master Tone and when you push on it, it pops out for what I believe is in/out of phase. Whatever it’s doing, it provides a ton of different and useful tones.
Cosmetically, the bass is near mint. I found one tiny mark on the back (see pics) and there is some pickguard scuffing, but it's in super clean condition. Frets are in A+ condition. Weight is 7 pounds, 10 ounces. No case. Currently strung with flat wounds. I can leave them on, or replace with round wounds, at buyer’s descretion. Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
