Fender 70s Classic Series Olympic White Jazz Bass 2008 First Year! 92597
Description (see more pics below description)
This is a 2008 Fender 70s Classic Series Jazz Bass in rare Olympic White finish. You usually only see these in sunburst or black, so may have been a special run. First year of production for this model and it is in exceptional condition, beyond a couple small marks, it's near showroom condition--and it's 14 years vintage! All original except for some upgraded DiMarzio pickups. That's about a $250 upgrade.
Features include a fully bound C-shape maple neck with rosewood fretboard and big block inlays, sporting a vintage 7.25" radius and bullet truss rod. Frets are in excellent condition. Weight is 10 pounds, 1 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier (me). Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment with strings changed on an as-needed basis. Buyer will receive setup sheet in the box, with detailed measurements. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
Manufacturer Info
From hard rock to slap-and-pop funk, the '70s Jazz Bass captures the essence of the 1970s with striking looks and a bright, full sound still prized today by bassists everywhere. That decade saw the bridge pickup moved closer to the bridge, creating a brighter, more cutting tone, and the elegant addition of neck binding and block fingerboard inlays. That's all offered in this authentically styled instrument loaded with vintage vibe and modern performance.
