FENDER American Special STRATOCASTER Seafoam Green HSS Duncan JB PU USA 08368
Description
This is a 2014 60th Anniversary Fender American Special HSS Stratocaster in Seafoam Green finish. This has been modded by a previous owner with a Seymour Duncan JB (SH4) pickup in the bridge. Pickguard is an aftermarket tortoise shell. Neck and middle pickups have staggered pole pieces. They are not marked but should be the stock Texas Specials. The guitar is a mild natural relic with buckle wear on the back and some edge marks but still looks great. These have an alder body, C-shaped, 9.5" radius necks and jumbo frets, also large 70s-style headstock. Frets have grooves but have tons of meat left, and it still plays well up and down the neck. This is a highly desirable finish color and the Duncan pickup gives this Strat lots of power under the hood. Current wiring allows Tone control to affect bridge position but not middle position. Pots are CTS 250k. It has 4 caps: two are .02 uF, two are .1 uF. Weight is 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Comes with gig bag. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
