FENDER CLASSIC PLAYER HH STRATOCASTER Rare 60s Thick Neck 70s Matched Head 93581
This is a 2014 Fender Classic Player Strat HH in Mercedes Blue. This rare guitar was designed by a Fender Masterbuilder in the Fender Custom Shop. It's way more guitar than you'd expect from a Mexican-made Fender. You gotta start with the ultra-thick fat C neck. It's based on a 60s C shape--feels like what's on a Japanese made Nashville Tele if you've played one of those--super chunky and cool. Fully bound with a matched large 70s-style headstock and F-back tuners. Really the combination of 60s and 70s features is amazing and unique. Next up, the dual wide range humbuckers with a 5-way switch, so you get either pickup in humbucking or split coil depending on switch position or both humbuckers together.
The Mercedes Blue color is very dark, but up close you see it's a subtle blue with some sparkle in it. Two-point tremolo, 3-ply guard, and vintage knobs and switch tip round it out. Super fine satin feel to back of the neck. You won't find another Fender like this. I'm a guitar dealer and I don't want to sell this--I don't often feel that way, as I see many guitars every month come through my door. It is very clean. No dings or scratches. I just set this up with new strings and set intonation. It's ready to play and enjoy. No case or trem bar. Weight is 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Full specs on the guitar are below pictures. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Thanks for looking.
