Description
You're looking at a 2011 Fender Classic Series 50s Road Worn Stratocaster in black finish. It is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. Previous owner upgraded the tuners to locking type with a roller nut and KTS titanium saddles--basically the strings travel only across top quality components. These early road worn guitars exhibit much more attention to detail and have unique character. The medium relic includes faded and yellowed plastics and pickguard. Tasteful wear showing the wood under the finish in appropriate places, such as tummy cut, armrest, etc. All hardware worn to a nice dull glow. Though worn, it plays and sounds amazing. Tex Mex pickups sound great. Attention to detail is pretty amazing for a guitar in this price range. Detailed relic work usually costs a lot more than this. Back of neck nicely worn for a faster satin feel. Roller nut sits slightly high in my opinion (low E about .070 at 12th fret), so if you like super low action you might need to re-seat the nut. Current playability feels great to me, but everyone is different. If you like your guitars to feel like a nicely worn pair of blue jeans, this might be the one for you. No case or tremolo arm. Weight is 7 pounds, 8 ounces. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking.
