FENDER FAT TELECASTER FSR BUTTERSCOTCH Blonde 2015 Tele Gibson Bridge PU 78368

This is a 2015 Telecaster Special Edition in Butterscotch Blonde made in Mexico. The previous owner did a really cool upgrade with a Gibson USA humbucker pickup in the neck position, making it like those "fat" Tele's. Also, the bridge pickup has been changed to a Fender '62 reissue Vintage Custom pickup (you can tell because the D and G poles are raised). That's a couple hundred dollars worth of pickup upgrades. Other upgrades include a 3-ply white pickguard, CRL USA pickup switch, CTS pots, and an Electrosocket jack.

These special run Tele's were made to conform partially to 50s-style specs. So it includes a vintage ashtray bridge and brass barrel saddles. The body is a big slab of ash with beautiful woodgrain peeking through the clear coat. Maple neck with spaghetti logo with sealed Fender tuners and medium jumbo frets. Cosmetically, it's 9/10 with two tiny marks (see pics). Frets are A+ condition. Weight is 8 pounds, 11 ounces.
