FENDER DIMENSION V 5-STRING BASS - SUPER RARE! 2007 Active EQ Noiseless PU 86701
This is a very rarely seen 2005 Fender Dimension V 5-string bass, made in Mexico. It is not from the recent run of Dimension basses. These were made for only a few years in the early 2000's. I've never seen a Fender bass like this. The headstock first off is very different for Fender, and it has a Gibson-style volute on back of the neck. Also the body with its skinny alien-arm horns looks like no other Fender. The bass is very ergonomic with the rear tummy cut, small thin body, and even a contoured neck heel (those usually only appear on high end American Fenders). List of features is extensive: Stock Gotoh tuners, 2-octave neck, Noiseless American pickups. An absolutely massive bridge that is stock and has never been used on any other Fender bass, and active 3-band EQ.
The low B on this is deep and huge sounding with clarity. The neck is super flat and allows for ultra low string action--plays like butter. Cosmetically very clean. Couple very small marks only. Frets are in great condition. The people at Fender actually got a little creative with this bass, and they made a quality instrument that sounds amazing. Too bad it didn't catch on. Weight is 8 pounds, 10 ounces. Set up for low B tuning (B, E, A, D, G). No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
