You're looking at a 2007 Fender Jazz Bass Special Duff McKagan signature bass. These are killer basses in Pearl White finish. This bass is in mint condition. Bass plays great, looks great. These have a Precision body and Jazz neck with both P- and J- pickups. TBX treble/bass tone circuit, black hardware, and skull-engraved neck plate. Very clean. Only a couple small marks (see pics)--save $200 off new price. I just cleaned entire bass and set intonation. It's ready to play and enjoy. No case. I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Designed for the man who has held down the low end for Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, Jane’s Addiction and many others, the Duff McKagan Precision Bass is rock ‘n’ roll. Based on the Pearl White instrument McKagan has played since the first GNR album, the Duff McKagan Signature model is a distinctive, sleek and full-sounding reissue of the ’80s-era Jazz Bass Special, which combined a Precision Bass body with a Jazz Bass neck and pickups from both instruments.

Duff McKagan’s signature Precision Bass model features the unusual distinction of having a slim modern Jazz Bass neck with a comfortable "C" profile (the shape of the neck in cross section). You get the best of both instruments - pulverizing Precision sound and style with the fast fretting-hand feel of a Jazz Bass.

This Duff McKagan Precision Bass has a control knob that activates its TBX (Treble Bass Expander) tone circuitry. The center-detent knob works like a normal tone control from zero to the detent. Turning the knob clockwise from the detent increases presence and brightness, while turning it counterclockwise from the detent rolls off high frequencies.

The Duff McKagan Precision Bass features the tonally versatile combination of a pummeling split single-coil Precision Bass middle pickup and a bright, growling Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup, widely known in bass guitar circles as a "P/J" pickup configuration.
