Description
This is a 2009 USA made Fender Highway One Stratocaster HSS in black finish. Great cosmetic and playing condition. It was refinished by previous owner in a flat "matte" black and it's in full stealth mode with the black pickguard and pickups. These come outfitted with overwound Alnico 3 pickups and a "Greasebucket" tone circuit for great tone. Middle pickup is reverse wound to lessen hum. Modern C-shaped neck and jumbo frets. Frets are in super clean condition. Soft satin finish on back of neck. Large 70s-style headstock. Note that the early Hwy 1 models like this are prized the most for having the best craftsmanship. Guitarists have realized the Highway 1 quality and they often sell for more than standard USA models of the same period. This is very clean. All hardware is gleaming like new. A couple tiny scuffs and some overspray around the body cut, but it's an easy 9/10 condition. Comes with Fender paperwork, gig bag, tremolo bar and wide nylon strap with Dunlop straplocks. The Highway One models are hot-rodded versions of a '70s-style Strat with jumbo frets, a rounder tone and higher gain, as well as a thin-coated nitrocellulose body which allows the tone of the wood to come out.
