Fender JAB J-Craft Active Jaguar Bass MIJ Ashtrays Hot Rod Red 2006 + Case 94520

Description
This is a 2006-08 Fender Jaguar Bass in Hot Rod Red finish with matching headstock. It says "Crafted in Japan" and has a "S" serial number. The bass plays beautifully with a great neck and frets in clean condition. It also has two ashtray style covers for that cool vintage vibe. You can get SO many sounds out of these with the switching options and the active pickup option using the upper switch. The large neck inlays and matching headstock look great. 

Cosmetically it is a super clean bass with no dings or scratches, only mild scuffs from playing. Keep in mind screw holes were made to install the two covers. Weight is 9 pounds, 3 ounces. I got it with an old Fender molded hard case, the kind they made in the 80s but it has no hinges and is literally held together with tape on one side. If buyer wants it I will include it, but it would need new hinges to really be useful. However, it should keep the bass safe during transit. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!


Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
