Description
This is a 1984-'87 Fender hardtail Stratocaster in black. Most likely an ST-462 model, which is a sort of-'62 re-issue, made at the Fujigen factory. The tuners were upgraded to Schecter locking tuners. Can't be sure if pickups are original. I will take a pic of inside of pickguard if a potential buyer requests it. In good playing condition. Plenty of relic playing wear on the body (see pics). Behind the bridge are two marks. Has an E series serial number. Frets still in decent condition. Fender Japan was really making some quality guitars at this time and this 30-year-old axe is no exception. Weight is a comfortable 7 pounds, 9 ounces. Hardtail Strats are rare--and a 30 year vintage one from Japan will only go up in value because of the rareness. At 40 years vintage will probably be worth twice this! I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. No case. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking.
