Fender Mark Hoppus Jazz Bass 2011 re-issue Precision Ash White Blonde Body 64573
Description
This is a 2011 Fender Mark Hoppus signature Jazz Bass in Transparent White Blonde, in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. These have a P-bass neck and Jazz bass body, Seymour Duncan pickup, and single volume control. This is from the updated second run. The see-thru finish on the ash body looks awesome. Upgrades from the first run include:
-- Reverses the standard P-bass pickups to give more umph to the D and G strings.
-- The body was made using ash instead of alder.
-- The maple neck is upgraded using graphite support rods for stability.
-- The headstock decal is the cool large Precision 70s logo.
-- And the finish is an awesome translucent look--compared to the flat original look.
These upgrades to the bass came after Mark toured with the original design and wanted to improve it. Bass is super clean with no dings or scratches, only some mild pickguard scuffs, and I put a washer under the rear strap peg because there was minor chipping around the screw. Weight is 9 pounds, 9 ounces. Comes with strap and Dunlop straplocks. NOTE: Aftermarket tweed hard case shown is optional if you want to pay an additional $25 for larger box shipping. Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing. Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
