FENDER PAWN SHOP JAGUARILLO 2012 MIM Rare Sonic Blue Guitar HSS 15480
You're looking at a 2012 Fender Jaguarillo in the rare Sonic Blue finish. These are now discontinued and they are becoming sought after for good reason. Nicely balanced guitar with the offset body of a Jaguar but some more modern sounding pickups and simplified control setup. In my opinion the humbucker sounds stellar on this guitar--loads of beef, punch, and clarity. It's a great looking and sounding guitar. Good playing condition. Frets in good shape. Cosmetically, still looks clean though has some playing marks (see pics, can't picture every tiny mark--ask any questions if concerned). No tremolo bar or case included. Weight is 8 pounds, 1 ounce. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking! |

Manufacturer Info
The Fender Pawn Shop Jaguarillo Electric Guitar hot-rods traditional Jaguar design through the roof with a scorching HSS configuration in which all three pickups - two standard Stratocaster single-coils and an Atomic humbucking bridge pickup - are angled for enhanced bass and treble response. The Jaguar scale length permits the use of heavier gauge strings for a fuller sound while also still making string bends a breeze. Other unusual touches include a streamlined control layout (volume knob, tone knob and five-way blade pickup switch) and an Adjusto-Matic bridge with vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece. This is no ordinary Jaguar.
Pawn Shop Series guitars are inspired by the more eccentric Fender creations of the mid-™60s to mid-™70s, which sometimes found their way to the outside world and into the more esoteric pages of Fender history. Crafted for thoroughly modern sound and quality, they present a creative alchemy of diverse Fender elements. New for 2012, the Pawn Shop Series introduces an unconventional new assortment of guitars that never were but should have been.
- Comfortable Jaguar body made of alder
- C-shaped maple neck with 24" scale length
- HSS pickup configuration angled for enhanced bass
- Streamline controls and Adjusto-Matic bridge
Guitar Setup
My setup on guitars includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. I spray out any pots that are noisy. I turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. I don't claim to be a trained luthier, but I'm able to set guitars/basses for a reasonable out-of-box experience and have had very few complaints. If you're looking for the perfect setup on a used guitar, please expect to take it to a trained luthier who is familiar with your individual playing style and preferences. ps: basses get the same setup minus the new strings. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
