FENDER ROAD WORN 50s TELECASTER Best Around - Read Descrip Blonde TV Relic 86102
Description
This is a 2010 Fender Road Worn Telecaster in a rare Blonde finish. Comes with Fender factory papers. This was made only the second year of the Road Worn series, and looks better than most of the new ones. Many of the newer Road Worn guitars have much lighter relic wear--the road worn's are NOT all created equal. Look at all the bumps, dings, edge wear, etc, this baby has. All hardware is burnished with a patina of wear. Fretboard has cool bleached look. Back of neck worn satin smooth. This is very close to being Fender Custom Shop quality.
Don't go for the new 2019 ones on eBay--look at the pics! They don't take the time to wear the fretboard anymore. They don't do the extensive edge wear! Even the hardware doesn't look that worn on the new ones. Great thing about these relics is that with all the wear, they still play sweet. The electronics, neck, and frets on this are in great condition. It plays like a well-worn old pair of blue jeans. Weight is 7 pounds, 15 ounces. No case. Just completely detailed and set up. I've priced this $50 above the new price on these and I've sold them as high as $1100. It really depends how good the relic job is, and this one is exceptional. You won't find that on a 2019 model. (Details on my setups and tech specs at bottom of listing.) Thanks!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
