Description

This is a 2010 Fender Road Worn Player Telecaster. Early road worn guitars had a lot more detail put into them. More like a custom shop job! Limited run of these "Fat" Tele's made! You can find a ton of worn Tele's for sale, but not many with the humbucker floating around. 

If you're familiar with the 50s Classic Series Road Worn, this is similar but it mixes in more modern features with the road worn look. C-shaped neck with a flatter 9.5" radius allows for lower action than the vintage spec. Modern tuners and bridge with individual string adjustment for better intonation than the vintage barrel saddles. Jumbo frets (6105), 3-ply pickguard, and a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker at the neck for a little extra umph. I have "rolled" the fret ends because these are big frets, so you will feel them, but they are nice and smooth and won't hurt your hands.

So if you like the road worn look but want a modern feel, you'll like this guitar. Cosmetically, tasteful wear showing the wood under the finish in appropriate places such as the armrest and lower curve. All the hardware is dulled and has a light patina of scuffs and marks. Attention to detail is pretty amazing for a guitar in this price range. Back of neck nicely worn down to wood for a faster satin feel.  Weight is 7 pounds, 14 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
