Fender 69 Telecaster Thinline Semi-Hollow Road Worn Relic 62462
Description (more pics below)
This is a modded Fender 69 Telecaster Thinline. It has been reliced and the paint removed. Plays great with new neck. Here’s your chance to get a great player for low price! Likely a Squier body, but loaded with quality parts: new Mexican Fender replacement neck, new Mexican spec ashtray bridge, new brass compensated saddles.
Duncan designed pickups, cloth wire and metal output jack. Sealed Fender tuners and "F" neck plate. So basically all parts are good quality. The neck fits to the body nice and tight and it plays excellent. Neck has a C-shape and modern 9.5" radius with medium frets.
Condition
Cosmetically obviously marks all over the place. This guitar was intentionally reliced to look like it’s been played for many years. Frets are like new.
Sound & Playability
Duncan pickups sound great, easy to play all over the neck. No issues. It has a quality 5-position switch but has the same sounds as a 3-way. Couple of the switch positions are just duplicated. Previous owner took off most of the gold paint and left the thin undercoat and some pieces of the previous paint in places. NO case. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks for looking!
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!
Packing
Search "How to Pack a Guitar + Hot Girls" on YouTube for a video showing how I pack. I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. You can also read my packing blog post on my StillKickinMusic website. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
