GIBSON 2013 LES PAUL 50s TRIBUTE T Goldtop Worn Satin Relic + Bag & Papers 1547
You're looking at a 2013 Gibson Les Paul Tribute in a satin goldtop finish that really turns heads. This guitar is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition and comes with its original Gibson gigbag and all papers. When you strap it on, the first thing you notice is it won't break your back. The carved maple top and chambered mahogany body still has all the sustain and tone of a Paul but with some weight relief to make gigging fun again. The next thing you notice is the TONE from the two Gibson USA soapbar P90 pickups and orange drop capacitors. The rounded 50s neck profile feels good in the hands.
These satin finish Tribute models have a thin finish that won't choke your tone, and they also tend to relic quickly. Some nice details--the green tulip Kluson tuners, large neck inlays, and aged plastics and gold knobs--make it an attractive vintage/modern hybrid. Cosmetically, it's very clean with only some minor wear marks (see pics below). Weight is 8 pounds, 14 ounces. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. The Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute 2016 T has a traditional Les Paul mahogany body with a grain textured, satin finish maple top, as well as a mahogany neck with a '50s profile and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Guitar Setup
My setup on guitars includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. I spray out any pots that are noisy. I turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. I don't claim to be a trained luthier, but I'm able to set guitars/basses for a reasonable out-of-box experience and have had very few complaints. If you're looking for the perfect setup on a used guitar, please expect to take it to a trained luthier who is familiar with your individual playing style and preferences. ps: basses get the same setup minus the new strings. Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
