Gibson Les Paul 70s Tribute Goldtop Real RELIC w/ Greening & Mini-HBs 21352
Description (more pics below)
You're looking at a beautiful 2012 Gibson 70s Les Paul Tribute Goldtop. It is a real-world relic, meaning the wear you see was done by real playing, not in a shop with sandpaper. Look at the pics--gold paint is starting to chip along the edges just like you see on those vintage Gibsons from the old days.
Amazingly, it actually has some “greening” showing in the armrest area. I’ve only seen that on a couple of these Tribute’s before. It’s the process of the gold paint turning green due to body heat, and is usually only seen on 40- or 50-year-old guitars
These 70s Tributes are outfitted with mini-humbuckers and they have the neck “volute” true to the period. Sports a mahogany body, solid carved maple top, and maple neck with baked maple fretboard. The 12-inch radius neck has what Gibson calls a "unique 70s thin-to-thick profile." It's basically a 60s SlimTaper down by the nut and chunkier like a 50s rounded profile higher up on the neck.
Frets are in good condition with some mild grooving in the “cowboy chord” area, but not farther up the neck. Action low, set up and ready to play. It has "traditional weight relief" but is still pretty solid at 8 pounds, 15 ounces. No case. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks for looking.
