You're looking at a Gibson SG Junior 60s re-issue made in 2012. This very limited run was modeled after an SG made between 1965 and 1971 with a dog-ear P90 pickup and small, light body (only 5 pounds, 8 ounces!). The P90 on the mahogany body is an iconic combo for good reason. Cutting tone stands out in the mix, somewhere between a humbucker and single-coil--all the beef without overdoing it. Classic wraparound bridge. Fit and finish are excellent. Beautiful gloss cherry finish. No dings/scratches. A couple pinprick marks and some pickguard scuffs, 9/10 condition. Simple Volume/Tone setup. Nothing fancy, just pure rock & roll deliverance. Read buyer reviews on Musicians Friend website. People raved when this guitar came out. No case. A lighter SG with tonal cut to match its sharp looks. The single P-90 pickup at the bridge of this Gibson SG JR P-90 Electric Guitar generates a more edgy yet still full-bodied tone that calls to mind Pete Townshend. The mahogany body and set mahogany neck generate great resonance for increased sustain. In 1961, the Les Paul was redesigned with a thinner body and 2 sharp cutaway horns that making the upper frets more accessible while lowering production costs. The new model was popular, but Les Paul the guitarist did not like it and asked to have his name removed. Gibson renamed the model the "SG" which was short for "solid guitar". Though Les Paul's name was officially removed from the model in 1961, the plastic Les Paul nameplates (positioned between the rhythm pickup and fingerboard) were in abundance in the Gibson factory and SG models having these nameplates were built and sold by Gibson up to end of 1963. SGs have been the choice of world-class artists such as Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and Angus Young.

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
