PEAVEY T-40 VINTAGE 1982 4-String USA Bass Clean! Natural +OHSC Blade PUs 28400

Description

You're looking at a Peavey T-40 bass in natural finish, made in the USA in 1982 (serial begins "0122..."). Comes with its original case, which is in good condition. These are very reliable basses that last forever. Has blade style pickups and a unique EQ circuit that changes the pickups from single to double coil as you turn the tone knob. Very clean for a 38-year-old instrument. Still looks great as the pictures show.


You can see previous owner added a thumb rest, which is real wood. Frets have lots of life and it plays well up and down the neck. No grooves in frets, only even flattening, which is to be expected. Cosmetically, only minor playing wear, nothing major. All controls and electronics work as they should. Weight is 13 pounds, 0 ounces (yes, it's solid!). I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking! Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments).
