PEAVEY T-40 VINTAGE 1982 4-String USA Bass Clean! Rare Red +OHSC Blade PUs 32194
Description
You're looking at a Peavey T-40 bass in rare Red finish, made in the USA in 1982 (serial begins "0113..."). These are very reliable basses that last forever. Has blade style pickups and a unique EQ circuit that changes the pickups from single to double coil as you turn the tone knob. Comes with its original hard case. Very clean for a nearly 40-year-old instrument. Easily an 8.5 or 9/10. Literally only has some small superficial marks.
Frets have a ton of life and it plays well up and down the neck. Don't think you'll find one of these cleaner. All controls and electronics work as they should. The one issue I've found is some of the height adjustment screws on the saddles are rusted in place and can't be turned. I'm going to take them off and soak them in some degreaser but just know not all saddles can be adjusted for height. Case is in good working shape with all latches functioning. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars, but you may want it set up to your own specs. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
International
Due to international shipping conditions, we are only shipping with FedEx or DHL. You must contact us for an exact quote. Also be aware quotes do not include Customs fees and Customs in your country may be SLOW due to the world crisis.
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
