Description
You're looking at a vintage 1991 Peavey Dyna-Bass Unity Series 4-string bass in natural finish. KOA wood with Purple Heart stripes. This has neck-thru quality construction and a beautiful ebony fretboard. Frets and neck in great shape, minus some fretboard scuffs on upper frets. P- and J-style pickups. The bass can operate in both active and passive modes. Two large knobs are Volume/Blend (in passive mode). Three smaller knobs are Bass/Mid/Treble (used in active mode). NOTE: When previous owner installed the Seymour Duncan in the bridge they modified it so the mid-knob is disabled.
The bass is in immaculate condition for being 29 years old. The wood on the body really glows and even more so when you oil it. Ton of bang for your buck. Aged tonewoods, upgraded Duncan pickup, hi-mass bridge, amazing playability and "butter" factor. Spend $900 on a new bass and you won't get anywhere near this quality.
It may need a new output jack soon (works fine with some cables and not with others), and since wiring is not all stock I have dropped the price on this by $100 and am also going to include an SKB TSA approved hard case in the deal. Just know going in that this is not wired like it was from the factory. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
