This is a 2014 Fender Antigua Telecaster with matching pickguard, made in Mexico. Fender has only issued this finish 3 times in their history, most recently in an early 2000s Japanese run. This Fender Mexico run produced only 180 units in America and another few hundred around the world. This is a rare chance to get a Tele with this iconic Antigua look. The guitar is in excellent condition. A couple dings on the rear edge were smoothed and sanded to make it look relic-like. Frets are very good with mild wear on the first two frets only. Weight is 7 pounds, 10 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. The Fender® classic yet seldom-seen Antigua finish returns for this special Telecaster® model. The distinctively shaded body hue debuted in the late 1960s and was briefly revived with a more graduated greenish tint in 1977, when it first appeared on both the Telecaster® body and pickguard. Antigua-finish Fender® instruments have appeared only sporadically since the late 1970s and are rare finds now, prized by discerning collectors worldwide.
This new special-edition Antigua Telecaster® is available only in limited quantities and is an authentic evocation of one of Fender’s most historically exclusive finish options.

Guitar Setup
My setup on guitars includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. I spray out any pots that are noisy. I turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. I don't claim to be a trained luthier, but I'm able to set guitars/basses for a reasonable out-of-box experience and have had very few complaints. If you're looking for the perfect setup on a used guitar, please expect to take it to a trained luthier who is familiar with your individual playing style and preferences. ps: basses get the same setup minus the new strings. Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
