Description
This is a 2002 Rickenbacker 4003 Mapleglo bass. A total beauty with hardly a mark. It's a sold 9/10 condition. Pictures tell the story. These are everything they are cracked up to be. I sell hundreds of guitars and basses and had never had a 4003. Suffice to say, now I get it. Basically once I got this bass, I just held it for a few months because I didn't want to let it go. That's how fun it is to play. But reality is this belongs with a real bass player and not with me. I've taken pics of a couple very small imperfections: one on the body binding and a couple minor indents on back of neck behind the 1st and 3rd frets. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
