Brian May BMG Bass Guitar - Rare! Medium 31.5" Scale Antique Cherry Red 13793
Description (More pics below)
This is a 2013 Brian May BMG Super Bass in Antique Cherry finish. Beauty medium scale bass. Weight = 7lbs, 10oz.
Condition
Cosmetically, the bass is near mint. I found one tiny scuff on headstock tip. Frets are clean. All stock, no mods.
Features
— Indonesian mahogany bound body
— Medium 31.5"-scale mahogany neck w/ ebony board
— Gibson-type fat neck PU, Tri-Sonic single-coil bridge
Sound & Playability
This bass is a ton of fun. Super light and easy to hold. Chunky neck feels good in the hands and so easy to fly around on the ebony board. Really nicely put together bass with Hipshot tuners and hi-mass bridge. Kinda neat looking creme inlay fret position markers on side of neck, and of course Brian's sig on the headstock.
Between the fat neck pickup and single coil bridge you can get a lot of great tones. Controls are Vol/Vol/Tone. This price is exactly what you'd pay if you bought it on the BMG website after shipping, though it is currently out of stock there. NO case. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks!
TONE
These don't have the weight of a normal P-bass, but the active PU's give plenty of oomph to the sound. With both P- and J- pickups, there are a ton of different tones on tap. Controls are Master Volume, Pan, Bass Boost/Cut, Treble Boost/Cut. The Pan control lets you dial in the perfect balance between the pickups.
International
I ship to USA and Canada only here. On eBay I ship worldwide with eBay International, which has the best pricing. cheers

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!
