Up for sale is a beautiful 2012 Ernie Ball Music Man Stringray SLO Special. Comes with original hard case and Franklin strap & strap locks.
Condition
This bass is just a couple steps away from mint condition. Only imperfections are a very hard to see scuff (see pics) and some pitting on the jack plate, which could be easily replaced. Frets are in excellent condition. All stock.
Sound & Playability
Plays great all over the neck with no issues. Electronics are solid. Has Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass controls and that's an active 3-band EQ on there. Big fat humbucker tone. This SLO model has a slightly thinner neck at the nut so it's easy to get around on. Weight = 10lbs, 10oz. Hard case in good shape. The leather Franklin strap is like a $60 piece. Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. Although the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay's standard neck is very comfortable and playable, it's still a bit thick for some players. In 2009, Ernie Ball Music Man created the StingRay SLO Special to address this issue. With a smaller 1-1/2" nut (rather than the usual 1-5/8"), the SLO Special is ideal for players who crave the look and sound of a StingRay, but prefer a thinner neck.
