Fender 2002 Roland Ready GC-1 Stratocaster Noiseless Pickups Upgrade Strat 04217
Description (More pics below)
This is a 2002 Fender GC-1 Roland Ready Stratocaster in black, made in Mexico. Plays with all the advantages of a standard Strat with the added bonus of a 13-pin jack that enables you to connect via MIDI to various Roland synth units. Weight = 7lbs, 11oz.
Condition
Cosmetically this 22-year-vintage Strat is in excellent condition. I found one tiny mark on the edge (see pics). Frets are in very good condition with some mild wear. All stock, except for the Fender Noiselss pickups.
Features
— Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.
— Roland GK pickup w/ On/Off/Blend miniswitch.
— 9.5" radius, C-shape neck.
Sound & Playability
These GC-1 Strats play better than most Mexican made Strats as they come with some American parts from the factory and are just put together better than most others. I have tested this with my own Roland synth unit and all controls work perfectly, allowing for the guitar to control the Roland sound patches from the guitar and mix in as much of the standard Strat pickups as you want. A previous owner upgraded the Strat pickups to Fender Noiseless, so they sound great. The guitar looks clean and still has the plastic control overlay from the factory. NO case or tremolo bar. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks for looking!
PS: I ship to most countries in Europe (not France), Asia, and Oceania--contact for quote!
About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
