Description (MORE PICS BELOW)
This is a beautiful 2008 Fender spalted maple Telecaster—early made in Korea model. Later production was in Indonesia for this guitar. Obviously made to a higher quality spec in Korea vs Indonesia! Thin, light Tele body and neck-thru construction. Weight = 7lbs, 10oz.

Condition
Cosmetically this Tele is in excellent condition with only minor scuffs from playing. No large dings or scratches. Frets still have plenty of life with some mild flattening and wear. All stock, no mods. Worth noting the wood grain pattern on the top looks great. Each one of these looks different.

Features
— Spalted contour maple top on mahogany body
— Mahogany set neck, rosewood board w/ slim C-profile
— Two Seymour Duncan humbuckers (Pearly Gates/’59)

Sound & Playability
These spalted maple Tele’s are really a one-of-a-kind Fender. They have a super flat 15.75-inch radius slim C neck for low action and smooth playing speed unlike any other Tele. The SD Pearly Gates pickups have legendary sound AND flexibility, as both pickups are splittable by pulling out the Tone knob. Other unusual specs include neck-thru construction, overize abalone fret dots, and jumbo frets. Sports a matched headstock, fully bound neck, and thin front bound body with tummy cut. Rare 16-year-vintage Korean quality, as later models were made in Indonesia. NO case. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks for looking!

Short video showing how I pack a guitar.

Guitar Setup

Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

Manufacturer Info
A unique take on the Tele.

While the usual take on a Fender Telecaster involves ash or alder bodies, bolt-on maple necks, and single-coil twang, a real maverick comes along every now and then. Introducing the Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH, which sports a stunning spalted maple top, a carved mahogany body, a set mahogany neck (with a slim, comfortable C shape, to boot), and a rosewood fingerboard with beautiful oversized abalone dot inlays. It's got that classic Tele profile, but this Telecaster is a definite step away from the expected. Whether you're a Tele enthusiast or just appreciate the look, feel, and sound of a beautiful, well-built solidbody electric guitar, you'll love this one.

Dual humbucker pickup power
The Fender Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH is loaded with two great-sounding Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, for a great range of tones. A SHPGP-1B Pearly Gates Plus humbucker sits in the bridge position, while the neck spot sports a Seymour Duncan SH-1N RP '59 reverse polarity humbucker. You can shape your tones with master volume knob, a tone control with a push/pull coil tap, and a three-way pickup selector switch. Add these goodies to the Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH's maple top/mahogany body and neck tonewoods, and you've got one big-sounding Tele.
