Gibson Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute Heavy Relic - 2016 - Satin Gold Top 45843
Description (More pics below)
Here is a very special 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50s Tribute in goldtop finish. This guitar was reliced by hand over a 3-year period with minute detail going into treating each part and hand etching the extensive checking pattern on the top. Comes with distressed Epiphone old-style Canadian built (TKL) hard case. Weight = 8lbs, 2oz.
— Mahogany body & neck, rosewood board
— Les Paul tone and light weight
— 490R/498T humbuckers
These 50s Tribute Les Pauls have a chunky vintage feeling neck and thick humbucker sound. I spent many hours doing a relic by hand on this guitar little bit at a time. Every piece of hardware has been treated and every inch of finish has been roughed up. This is not for the faint of heart. This is a guitar that looks like it's been played since the 50s, like a real-world relic.
Back of neck, frets and fretboard however were not touched and they are all in perfect condition, so it plays like a dream. I would put the checking and relic vibe of this up against the Dax and other ones on Reverb selling for $5k-$8k. Only reason this one costs so much less is I didn't do it to a Custom Shop instrument. But the Tribute line is great and is lighter than most other Les Pauls out there. Every part is original to the guitar except the pickguard which comes from a Les Paul Classic 1960 reisue. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks!

"Guitar was packed perfectly for shipping. Everything arrived exactly as described. A lot of care and attention was put into the setup (intonation is perfect). Seller was nice enough to include some extras. Excellent seller! Thank you so much!"

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!
