Description
You're looking at a vintage 1988 Peavey Vandenberg in Sunfire Red finish with original case, tremolo bar and case key. This was from the first production year with serial number 00001694. It has the distinctive "fiddle cuts" on the sides and extra deep cutaway on the treble side for those screaming leads. This is the ultimate 80s hair metal axe, being the brainchild of Adrian Vandenberg of Whitesnake. They come outfitted with a Kahler Killer 2710 licensed Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. Sports a Gibson-like 24.75" radius neck with ebony fretboard and flat D profile. The 24-fret, two octave neck leads up to a matched red headstock with its distinctive reversed angled look and Grover tuners. 

The power under the hood comes from the HS Alnico Peavey pickups. The bridge pickup on these is super hot, much hotter than the neck PU. The stock configuration called for two Volume knobs and no Tone control. This one has been changed to Volume/Tone controls, PLUS a mini 2-position switch. When engaged, you get the bridge pickup with no tone pot in the loop--no matter where you're 3-position toggle is at the moment... So you can be playing in middle or neck position with a much lower output, perhaps a clean sound, and with a flick of the mini-switch go to a much hotter lead sound. Compared to the regular bridge sound, the "no tone pot" sound is a bit boosted, so it also adds another sound to your palette. The guitar has just been completely detailed and set up. It's ready to play. Cosmetically it's a player, probably 7/10 with small marks here and there but no big dings. Fret show mild flattening and the beginning of grooves in the cowboy area, but they are still very good. Weight is 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
