Fender 60s Road Worn Stratocaster sunburst extreme relic

Like many of our relics, this guitar was "found art." It came to us having been reliced by Fender (Road Worn), and then further reliced by a previous owner. We strove to take what we found and make it better. The back was covered in contrived engraved markings that were obviously not made by playing. We strategically removed more finish achieving a "negative space" effect on the back, and the multi-color red/orange/black accents look vibrant. Likewise we removed a lot of messy overdone relic marks on the guitar's front and then polished it through many layers of abrasive until it had a soft worn stone look. We don't claim to have done all the work on this, only to have hopefully brought some elements together to look pretty cool in the end. With the extreme amount of finish gone we think it approaches the look of Fender Custom Shop examples like the John Mayer relic Strat, which itself takes after the Stevie Ray Vaughan "Number One" relic Strat.
