Description
This is a 2013 Epiphone Brendon Small Thunderhorse Explorer. Absolutely killer looking axe. Hard to find and also in clean condition with a bonus Epi hard case (these came with gigbag from the factory). Great specs including Burstbucker pickups with dual coil taps and a SlimTaper "D" profile neck perfect for shredding.

It has a fully bound neck with a "phenolic" fretboard, which looks and feels a lot like ebony to me. Front of body also has binding--Epi Custom Shop! Classic Explorer good looks with the sweet hockey stick headstock. Frets are in good condition and playability is top notch.

Cosmetically, it is very clean with a small smattering of scuffs and one mark I showed in pics. Light oxidation on the bridge and tailpiece. The back of the neck looks a little more matte (less shiny) as it's been lightly sanded so your hand doesn't stick as much on the thick gloss. This was done right using multiple grits all the way up to 5000 wet sanding and finishing with rubbing compound. It feels smooth and glassy. Weight is 7 pounds, 12 ounces. Comes with Epiphone factory case and case key. Currently set up with 11s. Shipping in USA is $75. Most sellers would charge twice that for a case this size, but I'm covering some of the shipping. Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. The Ltd. Ed. Brendon Small "Thunderhorse" Explorer Outfit features a striking Silverburst gloss finish on a classic Explorer profile. Both the body and neck are mahogany. The 24.75" scale neck has a 1960's SlimTaper™ 'D' profile and is hand-set and glued-in for incredible resonance and sustain. The super smooth and super fast phenolic fingerboard--which can only be found on the Epiphone "Thunderhorse"-- has a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 1.68" nut, and pearloid dot inlays. The guitar has single ply cream binding on the body top and along the fingerboard. The classic Explorer truss rod cover on the Exporer headstock is black with "Thunderhorse" in silver silkprint.

BurstBuckers™ Go Metal
The "Thunderhorse" is powered by seriously cool Gibson USA BurstBucker™ pickups. The neck features a Gibson USA BurstBucker™-1 humbucker and the bridge position features a Gibson USA BurstBucker™-2 humbucker that is slightly overwound to emulate the legendary hand-wound PAF humbuckers produced at the historic Gibson-Epiphone factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan in the late 50s. BurstBucker™ pickups are made with unpolished magnets and non-potted coils, just like the originals.
