Description
This is a 2015 Fender Jimi Hendrix Artist Series Stratocaster, made in Mexico, in Olympic White. It has the reverse headstock and Jimi's signature on the back of the headstock. Also a commemorative neck plate with Jimi's image. Absolutely great guitar that has its own sound due to the different angle of the pickups and different string length compared to a normal Strat. These come equipped with American Vintage '65 Strat pickups for great tone.

This one is in nice condition. Has a few small marks, including a paint crack at the neck joint. Frets are good with some mild fret wear under the high strings but still plays great. Weight is 7 pounds, 14 ounces. Comes with tremolo bar but no case or rear tremolo cover. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Guitar Setup

All our setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. Debuting in 2015, the Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster is part of the Fender Artist Series and offers custom modifications to capture the unique characteristics of Jimi's Olympic White Stratocaster that he played at Woodstock in 1969. Most notably featuring a reversed headstock and reverse-angle bridge pickup, the Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster maintains a non-reversed pickguard and controls for ease of use. The Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster also features classic vintage touches, such as a C profile neck with a flat fingerboard for better note bending, Fender American Vintage '65 single-coil pickups for that classic tone, and either Olympic White or Black finishes with a neckplate featuring a silhouette of Jimi Hendrix himself. Not many players have cut such an iconic stage presence as Jimi Hendrix and his flipped-over Stratocasters. But the look of that reversed headstock brought Jimi way more than an identifiable look. It increased string length to the low strings, which adds tension to the string, giving you a more pronounced tone and a tighter feel. And the shorter string length of the higher strings lightens the string tension for easier bending. That's why if you want to nail Jimi's vibe, you need a Strat like his.

The American Vintage '65 single-coil pickups on the Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster get you closer to his sound. By flipping his guitars over, Jimi tilted the pickup in the opposite way from most Strats. By offering you the same construction, you'll attain tight, warm sounds, with enhanced upper harmonics.

Modern neck dimensions for playing ease!

The maple neck on the Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster carries a modern fretboard radius of 9.5". This flatter design allows for much wider string bends than a vintage fretboard. It also works much better with the 6-saddle, vintage-style tremolo. And the neck's C-shape sits comfortably in your hand. It's thin enough for fast fretwork and Jimi-style thumb-over technique, but also substantial enough for comfortable chording.
