FENDER 2017 50s Road Worn Stratocaster Nitro Sunburst Strat Relic 07866
Description
You're looking at a 2017 Fender Classic Series 50s Road Worn Stratocaster in nitro Sunburst finish. Shows wear in all the right places. All faded with yellowed plastics. Tasteful wear showing the wood under the finish in appropriate places, such as tummy cut, armrest, etc. All hardware worn to a soft dull glow. Got that nice soft V neck with vintage 7.25" radius. Be careful out there. I see a lot of people throwing homemade relic jobs up on eBay and calling them "Fender Road Worn." (It's pretty easy to tell!) The Road Worn series went until 2019, when Fender introduced the Vintera series, which to me does not come close to the same vibe and quality of the Road Worns.
Though worn, it plays and sounds like butter. Tex Mex pickups sound great. Attention to detail is pretty amazing for a guitar in this price range. Detailed relic work usually costs a lot more than this. Back of neck nicely worn for a faster satin feel. If you like your guitars to feel like a nicely worn pair of blue jeans, this might be the one for you. Weight is 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Comes with tremolo bar but no case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts are yours right away with Road Worn instruments. The Road Worn '50s Stratocaster sounds, looks and feels like it's been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some. With authentic 1950s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, it's a must-have for the Strat player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe.

The Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster is an electric guitar that delivers killer aged looks, feel, and mojo without breaking the bank. The '50s Road Worn Strat was designed using 1950s specs augmented by Tex-Mex pickups and 6105 frets.
Like classic cars or your favorite T-shirt, some things just get cooler with age. It's especially true of electric guitars. They develop an unmistakable mojo over time that makes them look even cooler and feel even more comfortable than when they were new. In that regard, the Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster is a true player.
