This is a beautiful Fender American Vintage 57 Stratocaster (AVRI) in sunburst finish born in 1998. Upgraded with DiMarzio Area 61 (bridge), 67 (mid), and 58 (neck). $300 worth of pickups and fitted with a 5-way pickup switch and CTS pots. Weight = 7lbs, 6oz.

Condition
Cosmetically, the guitar is in very good condition. A couple small dings on back of body (see pics). Also two chips on back of neck up by nut which you probably won't feel unless you wrap your thumb over the top of fretboard but see pic. Frets in very good condition with only mild flattening, no grooving. All electronics solid. Upgrades include vintage-style Fender locking tuners. Made by Gotoh, they were originally used on Custom Shop guitars and take a slotted screwdriver on top.

Sound and Playability
The guitar plays really well and it sets up with very low action. No issues, plays good all over the neck. Guitar is nice and light and well balanced in the hands. For this year the "soft V" is very minimal and feels more like a slim C neck overall. Thickness is 0.84" at 1st fret and 0.85" at 12th. Measures 1.65" at the nut. Date in neck pocket is Jan '98 and on neck is Feb '98. Currently set up with 9s. NO case, rear tremolo cover, or trem bar. Cherry on top is my detailed setup and bulletproof packing. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
