Fender Heavy RELIC 2010 American Special PRECISION BASS Shell Pink! Two-Tone USA P-Bass 42862
Description
You're looking at a 2010 Fender American Special Precision Bass in Shell Pink that has been professionally reliced with extreme care and detail. I spent days and hours relicing this from the ground up, meaning every single screw, tuner, etc, down to the smallest pickguard screw has been worn and aged by hand. What really makes this relic special is the red undercoat that shows through on the body in the worn places. This two-tone look is something the Fender Custom Shop does too. It shows wear in all the right places: tummy cut, arm rest, bottom curve, etc.
The only parts not aged are the fretboard and frets. This came stock with a satin finish on the back of the neck, and I slightly enhanced the smoothness by sanding with high grits for some extra satin flavor. A variety of processes were used to bring this bass relic together, and it looks better than a lot of the stuff you see come out of the Fender Custom Shop. Weight is 8 pounds, 5 ounces. It plays like a dream, just total butter, frets are A+ condition. It will be a gem in someone's collection. Rare chance to get an American Fender Precision relic for much less than the $4k Custom Shop price tag--and a rare pink finish to boot! No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing—as well as full specs.) Thanks for looking.

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
