Fender Modern Player Short Scale Jazz Bass Rare! P/J Pickups Clean! 24472
Description (More pics below)
Up for sale is a very rare 2014 Fender Modern Player Short Scale Jazz Bass in Candy Apple Red. Limited run bass with 30-inch scale neck and smaller body--a treat if you're used to a full sized Fender.
Features
-- Downsized basswood body w/ tummy cut
-- C-shape, 30"-scale maple neck, rosewood board
-- Hot P/J pickups (Vol/Vol/Tone) + hi-mass bridge
Condition
Cosmetically this bass is super clean. 9.5/10 condition. The only imperfections are a tiny side mark and some rash on the G tuner (see pics). Frets are in excellent shape. No issues.
Sound & Playability
This is not a cheap Squier short scale. This is basically like someone took your Fender Jazz and shrunk it down a bit. It's got both Precision and Jazz style pickups and they sound big just like they should. The neck feels great and plays easy. High mass Fender bridge for plenty of sustain and tone. Comes with black gig bag.
The last time I had one of these after it sold I had people contacting me for literally years hoping I still had it when they saw the old listing on Reverb. These come around very seldom. Cherry on top is my detailed setup and bulletproof packing. Thanks!
International
Please note, I ship to USA and Canada only on this site. On eBay I ship worldwide with eBay International, which has the best pricing. cheers
Recent Review:
"Guitar was packed perfectly for shipping. Everything arrived exactly as described. A lot of care and attention was put into the setup (intonation is perfect). Seller was nice enough to include some extras. Excellent seller! Thank you so much!"
Short video showing how I pack a guitar.
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!
