This is a 2018 Fender Road Worn Telecaster in a rare TV Yellow (aka Blonde) finish (see all pics below). First off, let me say "THESE ROAD WORN SERIES ARE NOT ALL CREATED EQUAL." I don't know if it's the Fender employee, or catching them on a good day, but I've owned several Road Worn guitars and some just have much better relic jobs than others. Yep, you can buy one of the new 2019 ones on eBay for $924, but look at the pics. Most show almost no wear. OR worse yet, they're just posting stock photos and you won't know what the relic looks like till it gets to your front door. Trust me--some of these come with almost no relicing. Others look like they've been played for 25 years...

All that said, this is a stunning example--and--you get to see detailed photos of what you're getting before you buy! This Tele has some nice tasteful paint wear all around the edges. Also, the hardware is nicely softened to a dull glow. The back of the neck is worn down so your hand slides real easy. Very realistic to years of well-loved playing, yet not overdone. Look at the wear at the armrest area, edge of headstock--there's even a cigarete burn on the head. Attention to detail and the little touches are evident on this guitar. Great thing about these relics is that with all the wear, they still play perfectly. The electronics, neck, and frets on this are in great condition. It feels and plays like a well-worn pair of blue jeans. Weight is a very trim 7 pounds, 0 ounces. No case. Just set up and re-strung. (Details on my setups and tech specs at bottom of listing.) Guitar Setup
My setup on guitars includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. I spray out any pots that are noisy. I turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. I don't claim to be a trained luthier, but I'm able to set guitars/basses for a reasonable out-of-box experience and have had very few complaints. If you're looking for the perfect setup on a used guitar, please expect to take it to a trained luthier who is familiar with your individual playing style and preferences. ps: basses get the same setup minus the new strings. Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments).
