Gibson 2004 Les Paul Melody Maker Faded Nitro TV Yellow! Real Relic p90 Jr 54588
Description
You're looking at a really cool 2004 Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker in faded TV Yellow finish. Dog ear P-90 pickup on a slab mahogany body and neck with rosewood fingerboard and chunky rounded neck profile. It’s a recipe for serious growl and sustain, and the thin nitro finish lets the tone come through. Real relic look with nice paint distress showing.
The 2003-2006 Melody Makers (the years with the dog-ear P90) have really come into their own. They rival similarly equipped LP Juniors because: 1) They have a thinner body and are super lightweight (6 pounds, 13 ounces!), but still pump out huge sound. 2) Without a thick gloss finish these faded versions don't hold back your tone, and 3) The Tune-o-Matic bridge allows for exact intonation, unlike the wraparounds on most Juniors. Guitar plays and sounds great. Frets are very clean with only light wear on first few frets. No case. Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing. Thanks for looking!
What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
