This is a stunning 2011 Gibson 70s Les Paul Tribute in a satin Goldtop finish that is really pretty. Weight = 7lbs, 5oz! Pretty amazing since last one of these I had was a pound and a half heavier. It's a very lightweight Les Paul!

Condition
Cosmetically, the guitar looks amazing. It has a light relic look with various playing marks and some very cool paint checking on top. Some of the pics show the checking. You need to look at the guitar kinda from an angle. Some people love the look of paint checking, very much part of the relic tradition on older guitars. Frets are in great condition. All stock except the tailpiece which was replaced with a matte chrome look.

Sound & Playability
These 70s Tribute models feature dual Dual Blade Alnico mini-humbuckers for a vintage tone and look. Chunky 70s neck feels good in the hands. It’s actually a composite profile and feels more like a 60s SlimTaper down near the nut, then gets more chunky like a rounded profile up on the high frets. Rosewood fretboard plays great all over. No dead spots. Electronics clean, no issues. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. NO case. Thanks! Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!

The Les Paul Studio '70s Tribute achieves the unique feel of a 1970s Les Paul with a thin-to-thick neck profile that starts out slim at the lower frets and becomes increasingly chunky as you slide toward the cutaway. The Les Paul Studio '70s Tribute looks great with a grain-textured satin nitrocellulose lacquer. The single cutaway body has a mahogany base with maple top. Top is carved and bound in creme binding. Maple neck is equipped with unique `70s contour and a classic mortise & tenon joint. Fingerboard is made of baked maple. Neck has 12" radius and 1.695" wide corian nut.
