Gibson Victory II MV-2 1982 - Antique Fireburst + OHSC 52538

Up for sale is a vintage 1982 Gibson Victory MV-II in Antique Fireburst finish. Comes with its original vintage Gibson hard case. Weight = 9lbs, 2oz.

Condition
Not many large marks, but plenty of small player's marks from normal use. Finish is hazy on edges and neck and on back has small crack marks that look like a form of checking. The finish on body looks pretty good, but neck and headstock were probably touched up with paint or nitro at some point. Ideally someone would sand and buff the neck to bring it back in shape. There are two marks on either side of the headstock from a guitar wall hanger. Headstock has sanding marks on top and probably had a minor repair in the past but there are no visible cracks or breaks. Frets are in good condition with normal flattening and mild grooving on lower frets. Still has the original bridge piece often replaced on these.

Playability
These MVX guitars are rare Gibson "Super-Strats" and constructed to exacting standards. Feels better made than most guitars you will encounter. Eastern hard rock maple body and neck. Nice neck binding. These got Tim Shaw pickups and bound 12" radius SlimTaper neck. Two humbuckers, 3-way switch and coil tap switch. Plays great all over the neck. Electronics are solid. Truss rod works. Due to the condition and lower price of this it will be an as-is sale, so ask all questions before buying. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
