GROOVE TUBES SOUL-O 75 Vintage GT 1x12 Class-A Tube Combo Amp USA Amplifier
Beast of an amp in super condition!
Description
This is a an amazing Groove Tubes Soul-O 75 tube amp from the 90s--all hand soldered, point-to-point construction, made in the USA. Really cool red tolex look and with the grafitti string grille it's a one-of-a-kind combo amp. Extremely versatile amp with "Scream" and "Clean" channels and you can mix the two at the flip of a switch. On the back of the amp, you can choose to have the amp operate in "Class A" mode or "Class A/B mode." There is also a "Normal" or "Gnarly" mode switch (only operates in Class A mode). It feeds 75 watts into a Celestion G12K-85 speaker. The amp can accept 6L6, 5881, EL34 or KT88 power tubes. It even has a switch to allow 4, 8 or 16 ohm impedance loads. There is a parallel effects loop, and footswitch jack, but no footswitch is included. (See bottom of auction for some info from the original amp manual.)
The amp has an innovative modular design in which the amp is actually a single space rack unit and GT left room for another rack unit above the amp for effects, etc. Some people put a reverb unit in the extra space since the amp doesn't have built-in reverb. The Clean channel has Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Volume. The Scream channel has the same controls, plus a Presence control. The amp can get all kinds of tones, clean or dirty and it can get very loud when needed. The red tolex is in exceptional condition and the grille cloth has no rips. All controls work just like they should. It even has a fan unit on back with hi/low and on/off controls, as well as two AC outlets for other gear. Great amp that is very rare these days. I will pack it well. PS: You can go on YouTube and search "Groove Tubes Demo Awesome John" for a pretty good video demo. Thanks for looking. PPS: This will be difficult to pack and ship, so please don't buy it to "kick the tires" and expect to return it. The only way I would consider a return on this is if it shows up not as described, so please be sure before you buy and ask all questions. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
