JoeMeek VC5 Meequalizer 1998 Two Channel Equalizer Stereo EQ 02281
Description
This is a vintage 1998 Joemeek VC5 Meequalizer EQ, Version 1.01, made in the UK. It’s a 2-channel unit and the Q is three bands: Treble, Sweepable Mid, and Bass. Really simple EQ and it has a ton of gain available if you need it. Warms up everything that passes through it. Each channel has a 1/4” TRS input jack, as well as TWO outputs in case you want to split the signal. Each channel also has an insert.
The condition is very clean. Face has no marks. One rack ear has a slight wrinkle but it still racks up just fine. Joemeek was the hot name in the 90s and they still have a sound you won’t find anywhere else. Perfect EQ if you’re looking to warm up some digital tracks or add some life to just about any instrument. See a summary from a Sound on Sound review below. Thanks for looking.

From Sound on Sound:
This isn't an EQ for making radical changes to a sound, but more a sweetening EQ for use in situations where you need to make tonal changes without sacrificing the natural character of the original sound. It's probably fair to say that it's most useful on mixes and vocal tracks, where it works exceptionally well, but it's also flexible enough to work with guitar and bass, providing the type of change you're after isn't too radical. Obviously there are better equalisers around if you're prepared to spend the money, and there are equalisers with rather more flexibility, but as with the existing JoeMeek products, the VC5 has a smooth, friendly character that should win it a lot of friends. If you're disillusioned with your desk EQ, but can't afford one of the big‑name esoteric outboard equalisers, the Meequaliser could be exactly what you need.
Pros
Warm, musical sound.
Not excessively expensive.
Simple to operate.
Cons
3‑band, fixed‑Q format makes it less flexible than some other models.
Limited mid‑sweep range.
Only one mid band.
